Renewals

9 personal training package renewal texts you can copy

By PacksLeft · Reviewed

A useful package renewal text tells the client how many sessions remain, what the next pack includes, and how to buy it. Check the balance before sending. A renewal request based on an old count creates another conversation to untangle.

These are editable drafts, not messages tested for a particular response rate. Replace every bracketed field and send through the channel you already use with that client. Choose one message that fits their situation; the nine examples are not a nine-message sequence.

1. Three sessions remaining

Use this to open the conversation while there is time to discuss the next block. Mention a real training goal rather than adding a generic compliment.

Hi [Name], you have 3 sessions left in your current pack. Would you like to continue with another [pack size] sessions for [price]? We can use the next block to work on [agreed goal]. Happy to talk at our next session.

2. One session remaining

Make the next step clear. Check that the payment link points to the pack and price you name.

Hi [Name], today's session leaves 1 session in your pack. If you'd like another [pack size]-session pack at [price], you can buy it here: [payment link]. Your current balance is here: [balance link].

3. The pack is fully used

Send this after recording the final session. Do not imply that an unconfirmed time is already reserved.

Thanks for today, [Name]. That was session [number] of [number], so your current pack is complete. If you'd like to carry on, the next [pack size] sessions cost [price]: [payment link]. Let me know which days you'd like to discuss.

4. The client already agreed to renew

This is a payment follow-up, so keep the original agreement visible. Recheck payment records before sending it.

Hi [Name], here is the link for the [pack size]-session pack we discussed: [payment link]. The total is [price]. Once the payment comes through, I'll confirm the new pack with you.

5. A payment may have crossed your message

Ask for the date or reference if your records do not match. Avoid asking a client to pay again while you investigate.

Hi [Name], I'm checking the renewal for your next pack and don't see the payment in my record yet. If you've already sent it, please tell me the payment date and method so I can match it. Otherwise, here's the link we discussed: [payment link].

6. The client needs a smaller pack

Offer an alternative only if you actually sell it. State the full price rather than implying the per-session rate stays the same.

Hi [Name], you mentioned the next few weeks are busy. If useful, I also offer [smaller pack size] sessions for [total price]. You currently have [count] sessions left. We can choose the next pack after we've checked your schedule.

7. The client is taking a planned break

Respect the pause. Confirm current credits and any existing expiry date separately from a new sale.

Hi [Name], before your break, your current balance is [count] sessions [with the agreed expiry date, if applicable]. Shall I check in around [agreed date] to talk about restarting? There's no need to choose another pack today.

8. You have a new price for the next pack

Use this after you have communicated the price change. Do not rewrite the terms of a pack the client has already bought.

Hi [Name], you have [count] sessions left in your current pack. As discussed, a new [pack size]-session pack will be [new total price] from [date]. Your existing pack is unchanged. Let me know if you'd like to discuss the next block before buying.

9. One follow-up after no reply

Make it easy to decline or defer. If the client has asked you to stop messaging, do not send a follow-up.

Hi [Name], checking whether you'd like another training pack or would prefer a break. Either is fine. If you want to continue, here's the [pack size]-session option at [price]: [payment link]. Let me know what suits you.

Check the record before pressing send

Confirm sessions remaining, the new pack price, and whether the renewal has already been paid. Remove any claim about reserved slots unless you have actually agreed to hold them. Keep the client's reply with your renewal notes so you do not send the same request twice.

PacksLeft keeps the count and provides a client balance link and Stripe pack checkout. These texts are for you to send manually; PacksLeft does not automatically send this SMS sequence.
